How to: Make a simple eyeball bow!

I love this gore trend that is happening in fairy kei! (ily kyary pamyu pamyu) Eyeballs and bows are my favorite combination. But what if you're like me, and you are low on funds? I decided to make this tutorial for people who only want to spend $10 or less on a crafting project. To make the bows you will need:
-1 sheet of felt (any color)
- 1 sheet of foam (Preferably white)
- an exacto knife (Scissors can be used, but they will make messier cuts)
- A "big" circular object and a small circular object
- Pencil
-Markers ( 1 in black, 1 in any color you would like. I used fabric markers, which were much more vibrant!)
- A hot glue gun
All of these can be bought at Michaels or some other craft stores.

Step 1: Take your circular object (I used a plastic cup) and place it on top of the foam. trace it with a pencil.

Step 2: Cut the circle out of the foam either with an exacto knife, or scissors. (I cut mine with scissors, and the outcome is not as smooth and polished as I wanted it to be.)

Step 3: Use the bottom of the cup to make the circle of the Iris. Try to get it as centered as possible!
Step 4: Draw your eye a pupil! It can be any size or shape.

Step 5: Color it in with any color you want. I used pink in the original, but it was too matchy with the bow I put it on.
Step 6: Use the felt to make a stiff bow, and hot glue the eye on it.
Hopefully this will spark your creativity to do more eyeball themed things! Currently, I'm working on a chocomint like star clip, but instead of stars, I'm doing eyeballs and bones. This was all done on an unemployed (except for chores) high school students budget of $8, with some left to spare on some real eyeballs! (Just kidding, they're completely plastic "eyeball racers")
[p.s: I haven't been writing lately because of a computer problem. My hp is no longer with us. :( I'm currently awaiting either a new laptop or an ipad, and hopefully when I get that, I will be writing more! ]

Tumblrs I love!

(Thanks for 21 followers! Never thought I would get this far!) Long time no post! Comment allez vous? (I'm taking french now. :D) I've been so busy with High school that I completley forgot about blogging, so for now I might just do little quick posts like this one.
Tumblr is another form of blogging. Most of these blogs I'm going to list are picture blogs used for inspiration. Hopefully they'll inspire you to do something creative!

Spank girls, Fyeah Fairy kei- Love, love, love this tumblr! Great inspiration for Spank! and Fairy kei. It also gives me some ideas for crafts.

Fyeah Japan fashion- Great inspiration for Japanese fashions. Lolita, Decora, Gyaru. Too bad she's on hiatus until the end of October, but still great to look at!

Sweet Lolitas- Amazing pictures! Updated everyday, and its really cute! I think there are other tumblrs for Classic, Gothic, etc., but this is the only one I really follow.

The Everyday Lolita- I like to take a break from looking at magazine snaps. This tumblr is perfect for it. The best thing is that you can submit your own photos! (I'm too chicken to do it.)

And of course: My tumblr. It's all of these tumblrs put together in one. I constantly re blog, upload, and sometimes write. It may have been a while since I updated, but at least you have 6 pages to look through!

Well for right now, I'm going to bed, but first I will ask a question. How would you feel if this became a daily blog? For example, a blog about what I did, probably two days out of the week? I'll try it out next week, but If it doesn't really work, I'll do something else.

New Year, New dress code.

Sorry I haven't wrote an article in a long time. Family problems and summer have really gotten in the way!
A lot of kids are going back to school, but a lot of things are changing. My school has a new dress code going into effect. This year our school is about "Dressing for the real world" as opposed to "Dressing to express yourself." Why can I not do both? Maybe I have to tweak my style a bit, but that's okay. Ill just change everything bit by bit and rule by rule.
Rule #1: Collared shirts or crewneck tops will be worn. No t-shirts, scoop-neck, or v-neck tops are to be worn. Shirts with shoulder straps of any kind will not be allowed.

This may be a little expensive for some of us, but I'm pretty sure you can find alternatives in a cheaper place. I decided that if I can't do anything else, I would add color! My favorite color combo is blue and pink, so I decided to go with a pop kei themed outfit! I decided to toned it down a bit, so it doesn't become a distraction at school.
Rule #2: Tailored pants may be worn. Shorts, dresses, and skirts will be four inches above the knee or longer. No cargo pants or cargo shorts are to be worn. No denim or denim-like pants of any color are to be worn.

This gives me a good excuse to wear bloomers as pants! I got the idea while looking at this outfit
I just want to get dressed up in really frilly bloomers and a bunch of bows for some reason... I don't think this is normal... but hey! It doesn't go against dress code!

Rule #3: Dresses are to cover the shoulders. Dresses with straps are not allowed.

This is easy enough, just wear a cardigan or a blouse under a jsk! Mix and match colors to get a nice color pallette and roll with it!

Hopefully this helped some people, and if it didn't, I had fun writing it! It helped me plan for my school year, and I think I'm going to try some of these outfits!
