Nice finds at a Halloween store.

I love this time of year. The weather turns cold, you can wear more things, and you can find things that you can't find for the rest of the year. This brings me to the subject of the Halloween store. It stocks things like petticoats, wigs, and of course costumes. But if you have a good eye, you might find some cool things you can use in your lolita or decora wardrobe. A Halloween store is like Americas bodyline, filled with petticoats that have cheap-like poof, wigs, and some awful costumes. Maybe you can find a few save-able gems out there, but it takes some skill.

The first item I found was a wig for 17 dollars. It felt soft, and looked very nice considering the price I paid for it. Good quality for me. The only thing that at first turned me off about it was the fact that the only thing holding it was some elastic. No mini hair combs, so I was expecting it to fall out after I put it on. Suprisinglly, it didn't! And the best part is that it was way more breathable than any other wig I had ever tried on. Here are a few pictures: (Thanks mom for being my lovely model!)

I love this wig. I think I'm going to wear it to the next convention I'm going to. It's so easy to pull on and slip off. I think it is now my new favorite. Here it is when worn:

(So not rori outfit. LOL)

The next item is from the alice in wonderland set. It seems to be a really popular item for this years Halloween. I made sure to get a hat before they were all sold out.

I know it doesn't look all too cute on my moms arm, but it may work in a lolita coordinate. The only problem I have with this item is that the fur looks like it is about to fall out of the ears. It makes it looks kind of cheap and amateur but maybe this picture worn will change your mind:

The next and last item on my review was the leg avenue petticoat. This was originally for adding just a little bit of poof, but its just too poofy! It's also the perfect size for me. The hem ends right over my knee which is actually a normal thing for me. I only have one picture of it, so hopefully that will do:
(Is way better than my hot topic petti)

So the moral of this post is that you can find a loli-able item anywhere, no matter where you look. Hopefully this gave you an idea to go to your local Halloween store and scope out all the sweet merchandise they have.
Until next time...

  2. When I saw the bunny ears, it reminded me of the White Rabbit which Alice used to chase! I hope to find some Alice in Wonderland costumes at the stores to fit our Wonderland theme this year.
